Which is the largest hot desert in the world by area?

Explication

The Sahara sprawls across roughly 9.2 million square kilometres of North Africa — very close to the total area of the United States. The question says "hot" for a reason: Antarctica is a bigger desert still, because a desert is defined by how little falls from the sky, not by temperature.
