Vilnius is the present-day national capital of which country?

Explication

Lithuania is the country paired with Vilnius in a current national-capital lookup. Poland is a plausible neighbouring distractor, but Vilnius does not hold Poland's national-capital role. Poland's capital is Warsaw.
