While towing, in the absence or malfunction of an emergency light signal, an "Emergency Stop" sign is installed:

At the front of the towing vehicle.
At the driver's discretion, in a prominent position on one of the vehicles.

Բացատրություն

If the emergency light signal is absent or defective during towing, the emergency-stop marker must be attached to the rear of the vehicle being towed. That position warns traffic approaching the back of the combination; placing it on the front towing vehicle or choosing an arbitrary visible location would not serve the prescribed warning point.
