Which cells of a plant respire?

Only the leaf cells, because gases enter and leave there
Only the green cells that also photosynthesise
Every living cell of the plant, including root cellsՃիշտ պատասխան
Only the cells that are actively growing at the time

Բացատրություն

Every living cell needs energy for its own work and can only obtain it by breaking down sugar itself, so no living part of a plant is exempt. The pores of a leaf are where gases enter and leave, not where the reaction happens, and root cells respire steadily although they never make any sugar of their own.
