A new G1 driver completes a government-approved beginner driver education course. After how many months may the driver normally take the first road test?

Approved beginner driver education shortens the normal G1 waiting period from twelve months to eight months. Merely holding the G1 without that approved course leaves the ordinary twelve-month wait in place.
