Use the past continuous passive for work in progress when the alarm sounded: The laboratory ceiling ___.

Բացատրություն

Was being cleaned is right because ceiling is singular and the action was passively in progress at the stated past moment. Was being been cleaned wrongly adds perfect been to the continuous passive chain.
