The wildlife record fixes the birth in April. Complete the standard expression: The three otter cubs ___ in April.

Объяснение

Were born is the fixed passive expression used for the birth of a plural subject. Borned is not a standard participle, while were bearing wrongly presents the cubs as performing an ongoing action.
