What information replaces signal-to-noise ratio when using the FT8 or FT4 modes in a VHF contest?

VHF contests are scored on grid squares, so in FT8 and FT4 contest mode the four-character Maidenhead locator takes the place of the signal report that ordinary FT8 and FT4 contacts exchange. RST reports, state abbreviations and serial numbers belong to other contests' exchanges.
