سؤال 415

Which of the following conditions will cause a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) to disconnect AC power?

  1. Current flowing from one or more of the hot wires to the neutral wire
  2. Current flowing from one or more of the hot wires directly to groundپاسخ درست
  3. Overvoltage on the hot wires
  4. All these choices are correct

توضیح

A GFCI continuously compares the current in the hot conductor with the current returning in the neutral. Equal currents mean all the current is returning as intended, but a difference means some current is leaving by another path, that is to ground, and the device opens the circuit. Normal load current from hot to neutral is exactly what does not trip it.
