These questions ask which element suits a familiar use or which statement describes that use accurately. Extract every requirement, match each one to a property, and check whether the application uses the element itself, one of its compounds or a mixture containing it.
Build a property-to-use chain
Start with the job, not with a remembered object. A material for a light outdoor panel, for example, might need low density and resistance to corrosion; both conditions must be satisfied. Then state the chain explicitly: property, practical effect, use. Finally, inspect the wording for chemical form. An element can be important even when the working material contains its ions or compounds rather than a visible piece of the pure substance.

When a table supplies an atomic number, use it only after identifying the intended element. Atomic number is the proton count, so it can turn a use clue into a particle-count result without changing which substance the use describes.
Claims that sound plausible but go too far
