Some tests on Questena carry the mark ✓ Verified against the source. This page explains what the mark means, how it is earned, and what it does not promise.
What the mark means
A test with this mark is built from a named official source. The test page names the authority and the exact edition the questions come from. Every question carries a basis — the document or rule its answer rests on. Before publication, the bank was checked against that source.
What it does not mean
The mark speaks about the questions, not about you. A practice result is not an official examination result, and no score here guarantees passing. A test without the mark is not marked as worse — many useful tests simply have no single official source to verify against.
How the mark is earned
The right to use the source is reviewed before any content enters the catalog. The source and its edition are recorded in a registry. The extracted questions go through an independent review, and automated checks block publication when a verifiable answer lacks its basis or explanation. The mark itself is computed from these facts — it cannot be switched on by hand.
When the source changes
Published test versions are immutable: a correction or an update always ships as a new version, and your finished attempts keep the version they were taken on. Source links are monitored; when a source moves or its content drifts, the mark is withdrawn until the bank is re-verified.
