If you filed Form N-400 before October 20, 2025, use the 2008 civics test. If you filed on or after October 20, 2025, use the 2025 civics test.

The version is based on the date USCIS received your Form N-400, not the date of your interview. The line below is the effective date in the published 2025 examination contract.

Some correct answers change
Questions about current officials can change after elections or appointments. Other answers depend on the applicant's state or territory. Questena excludes those changing answers from deterministic scored practice when it cannot verify the applicant-specific answer.
